Instagram has provided some new ways to make use of Instagram Stories ads. Today, it’s one of the most effective ways to drive traffic to your blogs or websites.
1. Don’t Use Banned Hashtags On The Post
There are many hashtags that are not equal. Using one of Instagram’s banned hashtags can cause you to be in hot water and inexperience is not an excuse.
While some banned hashtags are fairly obvious and conform to Instagram’s Terms of Service, some aren’t so clear. According to the HuffPo The list of banned hashtags includes #citycentre, #adulting, and #eggplant. If the time is right when you’re ready, you’ll receive a notice. You can then log into the Agorapulse application, which will direct you to Instagram where you can hit publish. The most important thing is that you must be the one to click publish.
But, while that’s how we work however, there are other applications such as Schedugram that can post directly on Instagram for you, using your account username and password to gain access to your account. This is a huge term that is not permitted in the Terms and Conditions. Jumping through a few extra hoops isn’t easy, but it also keeps your account secure.
3. Don’t Post Too Much Content
Instagram prefers authentic, human-like posters, and all the dos and don’ts are intended to help them gain a foothold over bots and spammers. Although Twitter offers apps such as Social Quant that can automatically follow and unfollow lots of people to build up your following, Instagram frowns on that kind of behavior. It’s the reason they have an unofficial limit on activity in your account.
What are these numbers? While Instagram hasn’t officially released numbers, Ana Gotter did some in deep study and came up with the following:
Unfollowing and following more than 60 people per hour
Affiliating more than 300 posts an hour
More than 60 comments are posted per hour
4. Stay Away From The Robots
Look. In any other situation I’ll be the first to highlight the possibility of bots making your marketing easier, however, that’s not the point Instagram is all about.
Bots that automatically comment and follow/unfollow users can be a way to build your following. You’ll be the type of person who uses them in a responsible manner and responsibly, surely? But, going back to Rule 3, this kind of behavior can get you noticed for all the wrong reasons. Be respectful in your interactions
There are no hard and simple rules about how to ensure that your Instagram posts are successful for you. There are only a handful of rules of thumbs, and I believe Neil Patel, author and internet entrepreneur, got quite a few of them down in an article.
However, I’ll cut it down in case you don’t have the time to read each of them. I’ll switch the importance based on the things I consider important for an Instagram post without beating around the bush.
Invest in a Good Picture
Each of your posts must be postcard-ready . All you need are a few decent quality photos that highlight your best products. There was a food delivery website that I followed on Twitter who made the best food but had the worst-lit images on Instagram. I thought it was unprofessional and asked them if they could possibly tweak their pictures a little with filters before uploading it. The result was that their photos are still awe-inspiring since then!
Make sure you give your Instagram account an avatar who they can identify to or post a behind the scenes photo. There is a good reason people search for BTS YouTube videos prior or during the latest TV show or movie. Human beings are curious that way. When they connect with you, they’re half-way hooked.
Be Funny, Be Quirky, Be In-the-Know, Be Cool or Any One of Those
If you can’t be funny, then be funny. If you can’t be quirky be informed. If you’re not aware then be cool. Select one. That way, people can keep in mind you when they look around the corner. They will see you from the corner of their vision and they know that you are there and they’re eager to see you again. That’s branding.
Get an Influencer
My birthplace was in the day and in the day when you would call someone an influencer. Your parents might have believed they were drug dealers. But in the digital age influencers are people with a huge fan base on one of their social media pages. If you are able to pay one of those Youtubers or Instagrammers to promote your service or product excellent. If not, you should find an affordable person to work with, but preferably within the same sector, but not your competitor. Have you really have to tell you this? =) There’s an internet list which shows those with an International platform. If you’re going local do not be afraid to negotiate with them.
Use Instagram Ads
If you stay within your budget and make an attractive short video If you can, go for it. It’s not worth spending thousands on advertisements, though. Run Contests and Encourage Positive Engagement
Posts with something unique or basic will awe the most experienced of us. Find similar posts for inspiration , and share them with friends for exposure. You could also come up with your own hashtag that you like and then promote it all over the world. I’m talking about EVERYWHERE to ensure that your family, friends and followers can use it as well. That’s the point of a hashtag.
